Brand new bespoke bar & eatery opening on 27th July on York Road in Kings Heath.
Coming soon to Kings Heath is a brand new bespoke bar with music at its core. Taking over the former Cherry Reds on York Road, The Juke will be a hub of great food, drink and music with an open kitchen of rotating residents.
Inspired by many of the bands who played at the legendary Ritz Ballroom just a few doors down during the 1960’s, the music will come from a Rock-ola Regis 120 Jukebox. Having spent over 30 years propping up other bars across the Chicago tri-state area, it’s hoped that some of the magic gleaned from these American bars will translate over to the Juke. Expect lesser known tracks from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, gems from international performers, modern artists, and also some well-known and loved local heroes.
Opening on July 27th, The Juke will be hosting the fabulous Pietanic, known for their incredible, and sometimes whacky pies and sides.
Alongside the great music and food, you can expect an eclectic yet inclusive range of drinks. From Birmingham’s emerging breweries to fair trade coffee and organic spirits, the aim is to be proud of everything that’s on offer. With the option to drink in or take away, fridges will be well-stocked with a selection of the best craft beer and ale and 7 taps will host to a variety of carefully selected craft beers and ciders from the UK and further afield.
We’ve always been passionate about music and an area like Kings Heath which has such a rich musical history seems the perfect location to open a bar like The Juke” Said Owners Thomas Mee and Chelsie Eason.
We’re so excited to open our doors and hope that our fusion of great music & beer will be a big hit with locals and more. We’re sure people will love it!
The Juke will be hosting events regularly, ranging from tap takeovers, listening parties, intimate live performances and much more. You can also look forward to the first kitchen residents Pietanic’s delicious dishes such as the Bacon Cheeseburger pie and the Chicken Balti pie from 12-9pm.
The Juke will be opening its doors on Friday 27th July. For more information, head to The Juke’s Facebook page.
