If you’re looking to experience greater energy throughout your whole day, there are foods you can eat to help you. You may not be eating the right foods in the morning to really turn on your digestive system. This can leave you feeling exhausted for the rest of your day. Ayurveda is an ancient science that creates balances between your emotions and your body. Within this holistic way of living, there is food that helps support your everyday wellness. Foods can support your immune system, give you energy, and help your mind to function properly.
Foods in the Ayurveda come from the ground and are local. This is the best-known way to give the body nutrients through food. It has been working for centuries for yogis.
Digestive Fires
Ayurveda and the philosophy behind it will talk a lot about your digestive fire (Agni). This is all about your metabolism and the energy you use to work with your digestion system. This system gets rid of waste, turns food into energy and absorbs nutrients. When you have a healthy digestion, it will burn hot so you’ll have more energy.
In the morning, your Agni is cool and the digestive system has a hard time getting started. When you eat spicy, savory foods that are warm, you give the digestive system the heat it needs to get warmed up. It then works more efficiently.
